Preschool Story Time with Carolyn Tanner, our very special story leader, crafts master, and musician is well underway for the current school year.  Parents, grandparents, caregivers, bring your preschooler to Ricker Library every Tuesday morning at 10:00 for wonderful stories, creative crafts, and fun with music.  For more details click below.

Susie Stover, Ricker Library's talented Story Lady "with wheels" brings Story Time to Preschool and Day Care Centers in Poland once each month throughout the school year.  Susie, a retired school teacher, is a dedicated volunteer who loves to bring stories, crafts, and a new bag of books to each center.  Call the library at 998-4390 for information and to sign up for this important outreach service.

Interested in a new activity, whether as a hobby or artistic endeavor?  The Poland Spring Woodcarvers is a new group that meets on the third Saturday of each month at the library.  This group, under the guidance of Chuck Friis, welcomes all ages and levels of expertise (beginner to master) who are interested.  The next gathering will be Saturday, December 15 at 1:00.  Call for information or just join us. 

Calling all Quilters!  There are two groups of very creative folks who meet every week at Ricker Library to design and create lovely quilts.  The Monday Morning Quilters meet at 10:00 every Monday year 'round; summer, fall, winter, spring.  The Scratch and Patches group meets on Wednesday mornings at 10:00 during the school year.  This group takes the summer off.  Please stop by if you would like to trade ideas and techniques while working on your own project.  All levels of expertise are welcome.

With a chill in the air, our creative Poland area needle crafters are thinking about beautiful projects once again.  Join the "Needlers" with your knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, etc. in hand.  There are two meeting times each week:  Tuesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. and Thursday afternoons from 2-3:30 p.m.  For more information click below.

The Ricker Memorial Library Board of Trustees is the governing body of Ricker Library.  The Board is comprised of five publicly elected members whose 3 year terms rotate, providing continuity and experience.  The Board meets on the fourth Monday of each month. The next regular Board meeting will be Monday, January 28 at 7:00.  Poland residents are welcome.  For a list of current Trustees and their responsiblities, please click below.
