Getting a library card is easy! Simply visit the front desk and complete a short registration form. The card gives you access to a world of books, CD’s and videos. Free cards are available to Poland residents and those who own property in Poland. Children under the age of 7 are encouraged to use their parents’ cards. People living outside of the town of Poland and not owning property in Poland may get a library card for the entire household for only $15 per year.
Can’t find what you are looking for in our 20,000 books, magazines, CD’s and videos? Use the interlibrary loan system to borrow a book from among Maine’s many libraries.
A fee of $1.00 is charged for this service and is payable on receipt.
To begin an interlibrary loan, simply visit the circulation desk.
Overnight Book Drops
The Library has two overnight book drops: the first is located in the front door and the second is located on the side of the building, near the ramp. The Kill-A-Watt Energy Detector is the ONLY item that cannot be returned in the book drop. All other items checked out from the Library can be returned in either book drop – including videos, DVD’s, and audiobooks. The front book drop is only available while the Library is closed, but the side book drop is open 24 hours a day.
