Welcome to the Ricker Memorial Library and Community House, Poland, Maine

We Still Have a Wish List!

With tighter budgets, both in the home and in the Poland town government, your library building is beginning to suffer. People have generously donated the money for new ceiling tiles and just recently the Friends of the Library provided the money for a new vacuum cleaner. We realize that times are hard and it isn't always possible to give financially, and we also realize that if we draw upon the funds of the Friends for simple maintenance then there will be fewer funds for programming such as the Summer Reading Program. We are therefore asking our patrons, and anyone who thinks they can help, to take a look at our wish list and see if there is something that sticks out to you. Even if you cannot completely take an item off our list, any size donation is a great help. If we work together we can make a difference.
Some of the items below are for public use (picnic table, sink, etc.), some are to help the library run more efficiently (papercutter, printer paper, etc.), and some are to make sure the building is still standing (ceiling frame downstairs)!
